PhotoHunt: Pointed

Checkout the pointed roof on this building. I didn’t have time to go out and get a more current less fuzy  picture.  This was taken on a boat ride on  Lady  Bird Lake  in 1995.  (it was known as Town Lake then.)  This is the Frost Bank Tower.  From certain angels I see an owl.  Do you see?

Camera Update

Today my camera was returned to me. YAY!!  Your wondering if the burglars took any pictures with it - aren’t you?  Well yes they did.  They left this one on the camera.

Weekend Snapshot

This weekend I spied two young mourning doves hanging out in my tree.  I saw the nest. I’m actually surprised I never notice it before.

For lunch on Sunday, we drove out to Georgetown to try Duke’s BBQ Smokehouse. There was a sign on the wall that stated the Duke’s was in the top 3 of the best Central Texas BBQ’s.  It was pretty good. I had the Pony plate.  1/4 lb of Turkey, Mac-n-cheese and broccoli salad.

After lunch, we headed to San Gabriel Park.  It was there that I saw this bird.  I’m actually not sure what it is.  I think it maybe a Snowy Egret.

Weekend Snapshot

Saturday night, I meet up with the BF’s family to celebrate his mothers 71st birthday. It was quite an event. His brother flew in from Cali - nobody knew he was coming. His sister drove in from Dallas. All his brothers and sisters were accounted for.

We had dinner at Berry Hill Baja Grill on 360. The sunset was beautiful. I was actually surprised my photo came out as good as it did through the window.

I took a photo of on of the roses she received. Definitely not a perfect rose. But still pretty.
